Flying solo

Sooo life sure is interesting since Derek went back to work ;) Let's just say that being off a schedule is not Colin's thing ;) We had busy mornings lately and Colin is not too sure about being on the go just yet. Just when he falls asleep I start eating or doing something around the house and he calls for me, haha. Forget mommy naps... I have never been a good napper, so 15 minutes is about my max sadly. But as long as I keep going, I don't get too tired. Derek worked 12-9 the last 2 days and had conference this morning. He rocks though and did his 10pm feed for me when he got home so I could go ahead to sleep. To his credit, when we don't leave the house he sticks to his every 3 hour feed/sleep schedule really well. He just really likes to sleep in his crib!

Crazy how a new mommy can live off a total of 4-6 hours of sleep for 2 weeks straight...He's worth it though! Yesterday we ventured out to visit my work on our own. He did so well and slept in his car seat during staff meeting, so I stuck around for a while. I sure do miss those sweet people! The new building we moved to is so nice! They also hired another NP to fill my position. I will still work some in the spring, but it's nice that they will have full time help!

Bundled up, it was super cold yesterday!!

Today while Derek was at conference I was brave again and met Keshia and Alli at the mall for some Christmas shopping. Unfortunately I found out that the Bob stroller does not fit into my trunk after trying for a long time! So I grabbed the Bjorn (thanks sis!!) and headed out. It was the first time to try it and Colin is technically too little for it, but we made it work. He was so content and even fell asleep (he hates movement with sleeping) for the whole 1 1/2 hours we were there. When he woke up I just fed him in the Bjorn while we walked around ;)

Sweet Alli, she is 1 year older than Colin! Colin loved having his feet free!

It was nice to see a friend and get used to getting out with him on my own. Pretty proud of ourselves!
Then I met Derek at home and we got to hang out all together this afternoon and give the little guy a much needed bath. Still unsure about the bathtub! Sure did eat and sleep good afterwards and now we are just waiting for the GT vs Clemson football game to start. Go Jackets!!!
