NYE

It's 2015! We've had a big year and 2015 will be even wilder for us. It's always nice to look back on the year and think about how much has happened! It really flew past this year. Most importantly we've had a healthy and happy year!

This year was full on transitions- first holidays with C (Vday, Easter, mothers day, fathers day), baby Colin turning into a big boy...crawling/talking/eating/(almost) walking, Mason joining the family, Kendall joining the family, Derek finishing residency, moving states, 2 beach trips, D starting his 1st attending job, finding out we're having baby #2, Colin's 1st birthday, D passing his (almost) last boards, Derek's 30th bday, New Orleans trip, 1st Christmas with all of our family living back in Alabama...I'm sure there are more things.

So much positive change in one year! We've enjoyed being a family of 3 this year and have really learned C's personality. It's a big one! I have been fortunate to stay home with him since April, and although many times I've missed working, I feel so fortunate to get to be the one to teach him new things and watch him grow daily. He's such a funny boy and has taught me so much. He is the perfect fit for Derek and I, and we've become much more confident parenting him. It's by far the toughest job, but I had no idea what I was missing out on before having him. It's just the best :)

We have no set goals or resolutions for 2015. Just to take life slower and enjoy the little things more. We want to really soak up the next 6 months with Colin before he's no longer the center of attention 24/7 :) It's going to be a fun year!!

NYE was pretty low key here. C and I went shopping, we went to look at a house with Cait's crew, Seth and Jess came over to grill out, and we watched the Orange Bowl. It was an awesome game and GT won! They had a great season...beating GA and winning the Orange Bowl were the main highlights!

Big win for Tech!

Even Jess stayed awake the whole time! We all had enough sugar cookies to keep us going! Actually- turns out she was up way past midnight- wild one, ha!

CTP is 14 months!

Our big guy just keeps growing! He is such a funny boy and is learning something new everyday.
He is saying dada, daddy, mama, cat, bye bye, and the newest ones are 'ball ball', 'moo', and 'yum yum'. He runs (crawls) after balls all day long! Peek and boo and chasing him are the favorite games these days.

Loves to lounge with mom in the mornings drinking milk and watching a cartoon :)

Still in 12-18/18 month clothes and weighs over 25lbs now! He's getting tall too! He points to his stomach when you say tummy and if you tell him to give you a bite, he'll feed you. He's so good at sharing when we ask for things and will even give you his pappy when you ask for it- now THAT'S love :)

Peek a boo! This is how I get ready for the day--with Mr. Destruction :)

He is perfecting standing alone this week and occasionally will take a step. He is getting prouder. He loves climbing steps and climbing onto chairs too. He stops to dance (bounce) with songs on tv and loves Mickey and doc mcstuffins these days.

Definitely teething still too! Poor couch!

It's been a super clingy month and my arms are getting so sore! Ha. He doesn't even want to sit in shopping carts right now or let me walk into the kitchen for a minute without yelling with his arms stretched out. So I have an extra appendage right now and that's ok. Won't last much longer I'm sure!

Oh those lashes. And that lovie :) Watching them sing Happy Bday to someone at Sumo, yum Japanese food!

Dude sleeps usually 730-730/8, waking up to look for his paci a few times ;) He is still taking an awesome 3-4 hour nap each day too. Sleeping with 7 pacis and his lovie is a must! He's really into his books before nap and bed too. He's been on an awesome schedule the past week but that will change next week when he goes back to school. I do think he misses that routine though and gets bored being at the house too much.

Such a mini-me. He loves helping dad vacuum so Aunt Caitlin got him his own!

Traditional Italian lunch!

Kendall woke up and had fun opening her gifts too! C enjoyed a yummy petit four!

After lunch and playing with new gifts, everyone left and it was time to get ready for Cole and Sheena to come. They came through to stay the night on the way back to New Orleans. Cole proposed last weekend and we were excited to finally meet Sheena! They were so sweet together and so nice to bring Colin a present and us some yummy New Orleans macaroons. Can't wait for their wedding next year :)

Our first time having macaroons. I had no idea they just taste like icing melting in your mouth, YUM!

Cole got to see Gizmo again after maybe 6 years?! For sure Gizmo remembered his old roommate and wouldn't leave his lap! So funny!

Colin has grown so much this past year! I can barely remember last Christmas due to his refusal to sleep! haha. Found this picture and sure doesn't look like my big boy now! So little!
