What a wild last 7 days! First, Derek had his last shift of residency last Wednesday. He may already be sick of me because I follow him around everywhere...so nice to see him so much!
Friday we had Colin's 6 month pictures done downtown. He was already ready for his nap so he was not a happy camper. Julie did great though and made them look like he was smiling instead of complaining the whole time, haha.
Poppy and Moppy came through town Friday and stayed the night. We had Zoe come over to keep Colin and had a great double date night out at Alleia to celebrate Dad's birthday! Then they headed to NC Saturday morning.
Sunday we went to Birmingham for closing. We went to visit Noah and Chelsea when we got there. Geez, Mason is so grown up now! He's so alert and smiley :) So happy I'll get to see them more than every few months now!
Monday, after drama trying to find our neighbor to sign a final document...we closed on our house!! Everything went so fast and easy. It was fun to walk through it again. There are a lot of projects, but this time it won't be so much work on us!
That day Jess went with us downtown Homewood and helped us pick out a new kitchen set. We got it at At Home, one of the prettiest home stores in town. Jess was so helpful with helping us pick out décor and with Colin! Hope her arms aren't sore today!

Derek got to work on Tuesday and sawed off the rails of the steps. Ross came over and helped remove the office desk. Jess came over with me and helped pick out some paint colors and measure windows!
Us gals took Colin to shop and found great deals on curtains and things for Colin's bathroom. Jessica has a talent for finding good deals!! Later that evening we drove Seth over to see the house and he helped Derek put doors back on the entertainment center above. Noah and Chelsea came to visit too.
Colin listening to Uncle Noah talk :)
Colin LOVED playing on Seth and Jess's couch! We need a big deep couch for him I guess :) Jess kept Colin during the walk through and closing. Thank goodness for her!
Poor Kirby was so tired on our walk he had to sit about 5 times...his legs weren't feeling that awesome. He's so sweet around Colin though and much calmer now (unless Jess has Colin, ha). I think we'll have a great week next week when we keep him! Maybe we'll take a shorter walk though ;)

It was a fun busy week, back in Chattanooga now for a few days. We have a lot of errands and things to do. We may be just a LITTLE bit OCD about planning and preparing for everything ;) We want moving to go smooth and be able to enjoy July completely!
