I love celebrating all the 'firsts' of having a baby. There is always one! Today was Derek's first Father's Day :) He has been such a terrific dad to this guy and they are so much alike! He jumped in head first on day one and has kept Colin and I his #1 priority since! I know he will have a big time teaching Colin all kinds of things in the next few years!

We celebrated by working at the new house yesterday, haha. Doozie and Nana helped us out a lot over there and Colin was a trooper all day.

My favorite people!

Such a snuggly guys these days!

Doozie opening up his Father's Day gifts with Colin's help

Colin even got a gift...a new Mickey Mouse book!

We ended the evening with a pool trip of course:)

Box fun with Doozie!
The men got so much done and Nana helped a lot with the inside and with Colin. I'll do a house picture update soon! My phone hasn't been taking pictures right and most are real blurry.
Father's Day wouldn't be anything to me without my awesome dad! He is our family's glue and has always pushed us to be the best at anything we do. Of course having a kiddo makes you really see how much your parents sacrifice for you. My parents gave up a lot of things and time for us 3 kids and dad still drives my high school car around :) He is truly the kindest, most caring person I know and such a good example of a Godly man. So many things I admire about him and my favorite thing so far is how great he is with his 4 (ah!) grandkids. He'd do anything for them and loves them so much (probably more than me, hehe). I'm glad Colin will have another great role model (as long as you don't teach him how to be a sniper ;)). Love you dad!
Terry has been a great father figure in my life the last 10 years too. I obviously think highly of him if I named my kid after him ;) I've learned a lot from him the last 10 years and it's so obvious that he puts his kids first! He has taught Derek such important things like being a good husband, father, and a hard worker. They have such a neat, close relationship. I know Colin will learn a lot from Doozie (maybe one will be how to drive a boat!). It's funny how Colin mimics him already and thinks his sound effects are the best!
Happy Father's DAY!!
