Derek's 29th birthday is today! I can't believe we have celebrated 9 years of birthdays together! It doesn't seem like that many and it really doesn't feel like we are about to be 30! I love birthdays though and I'm so happy to have spent another year with my love! We've had so many adventures together over the years!

Of course, we are still mostly hanging out at home with our little guy, but today I had a surprise planned. My friend here, Sarah, has been wanting to come over and help with Colin. I took her up on the offer this morning! I woke up and told Derek he had 15 min to get ready to leave the house :) Sarah came over and we headed out. I like surprising people! We went downtown and had breakfast at Panera and then went to get a couples massage. It was definitely needed for both of us! Sleeping in a recliner has not been kind to my back and we are both just sore in general from carrying our 10lb butterball around all the time!
We were working on tummy time and little dude got ticked and ended up rolling over to his back on his own, haha!
We came home and have been bums the rest of the day. Derek's reading up on his home brewing kit, it sounds like a pretty detailed project! Having a baby means we are getting Fuji takeout for birthday dinner tonight :) I'm looking forward to getting in bed before 8pm again;) I actually got 6 hours (longest stretch in 5 weeks) last night and it was amazing. Thanks love!!
This guy is pretty funny- he's so awake now and is actually content to lay around, coo, and wiggle a few times a day. Pretty cute!
