Baby Silas, Blue Ridge, and 8 years married!

Whew, it's been a busy past week and I'm behind on blogging about everything...sorry for picture overload! Let's rewind to last Sunday. While Derek was sleeping before we left for Chattanooga, I took the kids to church and got us all packed up. These kids love church and the sweet volunteers love them too. There are never tears when we go which is a nice change of pace from last year!

Required weekly picture. Colin requested rocking chairs instead of the bench this time.

He loves the waterfall at church. He's also a super helper at the store :)

Once Derek woke up we hit the road and got checked in to our hotel in Chatty. We ate dinner out then headed to see sweet baby Silas! He was only 5 days old and so snugly. Alli enjoyed playing with the boys and I got to hold that sweet babe. Monday morning I picked up Alli and brought her to the hotel to swim with us for a few hours. The kids loved the pool and jumping off the side. They also loved running up and down the halls. Those 2 play so well together! Connor loved splashing too! They did great sleeping this trip (for the first trip ever with both of them) and no one was sick!

After lunch we drove up to Blue Ridge to see family. It had been 6 months since our last trip there so Connor has changed quite a bit since then. They got to have some cousin fun for a bit and basically stayed outside both days we were there! It's so peaceful and quite there and we love going. The boys loved Mamaw's toys and we enjoyed getting to catch up. We got to spend the next morning with Papaw and Lena and catch up with them too!

Tuesday the 14th was our 8th wedding anniversary! Mamaw made a yummy dinner for us and we celebrated with a cake! It was a good chance to have Mamaw get to celebrate Connor's birthday too, so we did candles and let him go nuts :) No surprise to any of us, he LOVED the cake and ate every bite. He was too cute. Colin ate only his icing...with a spoon, haha.
Love you hun!

What NOT to give a 1 year old to keep him happy on a 2 hour drive. It was 5 minutes of mess and then he was mad I threw it out the window... Thankfully he fell asleep the rest of the drive home!!
