Santa, big boy bed, Colin-isms, sitting up, and Micah...

Everything about December is fun for us! Christmas with kids and all things Christmas-related of course is top. We knew Santa was a bad choice, but couldn't help traumatizing Colin again ;) We headed to Bass Pro Shop after school last week and waited in line. Every time I pointed out Santa in the distance, Colin said "no, no, back to truck". So we figured out fast how this would go. Connor per usual enjoyed the crowd and people watching. I'm not sure he even saw Santa...

HOHOHO!

2014 throwback!

Colin makes us laugh so hard these days. I want to document some of the cute things he says...
-Every time I start singing he puts his hand out and says "Stop mommy, NO!"
-"I do it" with hand out again...He doesn't want help with anything these days
-"1,2,4,6"...so he knows how to count...some numbers at least
-Anytime he sees ANYTHING he has to announce what shape it is and what color. ANY toy, tv show, etc. Proud he knows all his shapes and colors though!
-Anytime Derek walks out of the room, even just for a second, Colin announces..."Daddy go work"
-"MINE!" to everything and everyone. This one isn't so fun.
-"Drive van, drive truck" Everyday he HAS to take a turn driving one of the cars in the garage. He pushes every button and resets most things...
-"Sorry mommy" to everything, usually out of context
-"See you soon" to people, trees, school, blocks, etc...
-He makes shapes with his fingers (usually a circle) and calls out all the shapes he can create..."circle, heart, square"...Derek showed him a diamond, so that's the favorite now.

Love that big guy. He's smart and it gets him frustrated a lot, he's getting better though and usually a time-out/taking a walk break cools him down. Boys and their tempers...

Snuggly boys

Plaid/vest twins on date night ;)

We got brave/crazy last week and decided to convert Colin's crib into the toddler option. Well...he thinks he's BIG stuff now :) Every day he runs in and out of his room to collect things from his bed/put things back. Just because he can now :) Thankfully it's been a week and he still doesn't get out of it until we come in the room! After the new year we'll convert it to a full size bed with rails on the sides. Since we wont be traveling the first part of next year, I'm hoping by the next trip he'll just sleep in a regular bed! He's growing up fast these days!

So big!

They both really enjoy the bouncer daily ;) Colin at all times has a sucker in his mouth now that he knows where they are and how to unwrap them...

Cousin date this past weekend! The big kids (which I guess is 4/5 of them) all play so good together now pretty much without supervision. Never thought we'd be able to eat a meal without feeding the kiddos at the same time!

Big boy side!

Lil' mama took good care of her baby :) Connor ate the attention up!

They say never to wake a sleeping baby...BUT. haha. Guess momma needs to tie down that bumper tighter. He's very into snuggling with it.

Love these 2!!

He wants to be mobile already!

A little wobbly still, but he's getting good!

Never worry when uncle Seth is in charge of baby ;) they came over this week for an early Christmas. More pics and details on the next blog post!

Soooo...guess who decided to show up on her due date! We got to meet Micah Hope Tuesday and she's a sweet little doll! 7.7lbs and 21.5 inches. Chelsea did a great job and she didn't have to labor long! She'll make a sweet addition to the group :)

We couldn't believe how small newborns are...and it's only been 6 months since we had one! She was adorable but definitely did NOT make us want another one, ha ;) We'll just all snuggle with this sweet one!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve!! Colin's still pretty clueless to it all. He really doesn't like Santa talk, but that's cool, less pressure for us ;) He does enjoy the lights on the tree. Connor is just totally clueless, so small Christmas this year! They'd both be just as happy to play in boxes and tissue paper!
