This quote sums up one of my top 3 parent mantras! It's a good reminder to live in the present and be engaged with our kids. Attention along with lots of love does no harm, it's the entitlement and materialistic things that can. Presents do not equal love and we were reminded of that as kids. Thankfully, as parents we have control over our kids environment and I take that job serious! If we don't, we'll feel the wrath of it in future years, haha.
