Easter was spent low-key this year and that was ok with this tired preggo :) It's nice that they have some good TV church services on these days! Colin has been sick for about 4 days now and so we haven't left the house much. The steroids he got Friday seem to have helped some. Now he's just snotty and not hungry with a fever on and off. Fruit and protein smoothies have saved us! Derek has been on day shift this weekend, never fun to work holidays, but we've gotten to see him some at least!
I did enjoy seeing everyone's Easter pictures on Facebook, so adorable! We did a little Easter basket when Derek got off work. We gave him a few of his favorites- books, mini M&Ms, Reese's cups, and suckers. It's not as fun buying your own Easter candy when you're grown, for some reason those chocolate bunnies don't taste as good when you buy them?! :) But we definitely had our fair share of candy this weekend. Thank goodness I passed my glucose test!
1st mini Cadbury Crème egg was a winner :) Momma's boy! My parents still make sure to get those for me (1/2$ off the next day of course!)
He's definitely too young to understand the real reason for Easter, but I thank Jesus for dying and rising again for my little family and pray that Colin and Connor grow to know Him as they get older! Happy Easter!
