Weekend fun!

This little sick boy has been so much better the past 2 days. He's finally eating good again and is more content. Now if we could just go back to longer stretches of sleep at night!!

Since we survived our trip to Huntsville last weekend, so we decided to road trip again! This weekend we went to the river to see Doozie and Nana to celebrate Doozie's birthday. It was a great time and Colin loved exploring everywhere.

So quiet and peaceful

Derek and his catfish!

Getting more adventurous, even though it didn't last long ;)

Little bit napped and napped some more :)

Boating!

A little skeptical first day, but then loved it and walked all around pointing out the trees, boats, and birds. Of course he called the river a pool :)

Cuddles with the wee one! These boys are lucky to live close to their grandparents and family. We saw our grandparents/cousins 2 times a year most years growing up! They get to see theirs monthly.

Thankfully the weather was great the whole time! Maybe we'll get to go back more next summer.

Our big guy has been feeling better too! He's a hoot with all of his talking now. He has memorized a lot of his books and could read all day long. He's big on animals, cars, and colors. Today he came up to me, pointed at my shirt, and said 'blue'. This momma was proud. He's doing so well with saying 'please' and 'thank you' too. He's been napping at school on his cot good, but still hates being dropped off. Maybe this fall he'll get more excited about going.

Kisses for monkey. So good at giving out kisses :) He always makes sure we have our own book to read while he reads his.

Scrunchy nose happy boy has been a tough cookie in the evenings for the past week or so. The last 2 nights have been so so much better, wahoo!

Sunday we had a fun family afternoon at Cait's place. It's a wild time getting all these kiddos together! They still pretty much play on their own and take toys from each other. They are always in 4 different directions, ha. They were actually all pretty great last night and enjoyed uncle Josh's hamburgers and hotdogs.

Cuties eating. The only quiet time :)

Popsicles outside! They are all so cute and different! Next year Connor and Micah will be joining in on the fun :)
