It's almost time!!!! Derek and I are so ready now. We got to go enjoy a lot of down time at the beach last week and spent this week getting everything ready. Almost done with our hospital bag and the car seat is in the garage ready to go! Having more back pains and Braxton Hicks contractions this time. He's running out of room and moving less and less. Still up and down all night, sometimes a few hours awake at a time, would much rather be playing with a baby if I'm going to be awake anyways!
We did end up having to change OBs and had that appointment last week. Gotta roll with the punches and just make sure someone (anyone!) will catch this baby! It went really well and we both like her a lot. I'm already dilated this time, so her prediction is that he'll be here in another week. He's also head down, should stay that way from now on. We got to get through at least part of Derek's stretch of shifts if Connor will hang on a little longer!
We've been talking about baby a lot lately and Colin says 'baby' so cute. He'll sit by me and pat my belly and say baby. Of course he ignores all babies and is clueless one is about to come live with us. It will be an interesting first few months for sure. He'll start back school this week which I hope helps him to be back in his routine. I know this time around will be different in every way. Thank goodness we know more of what to expect this time and I'm used to the SAHM life now. That was a super hard transition for me the 1st year. He could be just like Colin and hate sleep/feedings and love screaming 24/7, we're ready for that now! haha. I'm glad I'll have Colin here to entertain me/talk to and not just a sleeping baby. I also know what kind of help I need this time and have starting lining that up/thinking about it. We have so much help being in Birmingham, so much just depends on if I'm breastfeeding, how Colin reacts, what kind of baby Connor is, etc. We will just take things day by day for a while :) We are definitely going to slow time down and enjoy this last baby and helping Colin transition. Other stuff is just not as important! Yard man and cleaning lady for a year will help us tremendously too :) So excited to see this little man!!
38 week comparison with Finale and Nugget...maybe a little bigger this time.
We are almost done with his room. It's so different than Colin's room and I hope that helps them be 2 different little people :) Got his bedding and name pallet up this week. Just need to finish the other pallet sign for the other wall and get a few things for his dresser!
Loving how it's turning out! Props to Derek for being decisive and pretty much picking out everything for the room :)
Starting to poke out farther and farther! The feet are swelling too now. Fun..haha
