Week of lounging

Thank goodness Derek gave a shift away and was home for 3 days, because our week went downhill fast Monday. We had a lot of fun plans for the week with C, but teeth and ears had other plans. We got a lot of cuddle time though and relaxed a good bit. Every time Colin stood up he got dizzy and fell, it was pitiful. Good thing he absolutely loves his antibiotic and Tylenol :) Movies were a necessity this week. He had a few burst of energy at night, but crashed pretty hard most days and didn't drink or eat much.

I had my spa day Wednesday and it was just glorious! Minus the part where they scrub all your skin off your heels (they needed it!). I even got a scalp massage. My hubs sure does know me well! Love him :)

Here's the 1st picture of grandkid #6! Chelsea had a good 1st doc appointment Thursday and got to see the sweet peanut! Connor will have a close playmate, we're all excited! Due December 22 :)

Wednesday night we snuck out while Colin slept and had a later dinner/game night with Ross and Laura. We were going nuts being at home so much, it was fun!

Thursday C started feeling better and enjoyed an apple during our Publix run. He became quite attached to dada this week! He's super cute and will come back up into your lap on the floor all day.

Thursday night we got to host Bryan, Monica, and Grady overnight. They left this morning on their way to Winfield for Cassity's wedding. We got in some quality playtime and it was fun catching up. Grady is Eli's age and it at a fun stage!

Colin's energy is so much better this morning and his fever is under 100, so it's a good day! He soaked up some dada time before they both had naps. Derek starts night shift tonight and we'll miss him!

The tree service came today to do some big changes. We love our house and having so many trees...but our house was taken over big time and no amount of trimming was going to really help. So we cleared out the trees up against the house, shrubs in the very front, and trimmed a bunch others. They worked fast and it made such a difference! So much light is coming through the front of the house now!

Before- moving day summer 2014. Pretty and green, but where's the house?! ha

After-today. Now we can get some more appropriate-sized plants to fill in the gaps. After a year, we are finally getting around to some bigger house projects.

C likes his independence when we're playing upstairs and always walks through his bathroom, but today decided to jump in head first and slide into the bathtub. New for us, ha. He had already mastered turning the water on and off, so bath time in his PJs happened :) He was super happy to splash in his clothes, silly guy. He's been in better mood than even healthy Colin and these parents are happy about that. I'm off to Winfield for Cass's wedding tomorrow and I know he will have a fun time with Grace. Got to keep him healthy for the beach next week!
