What a weekend! Birthdays all around!! Birthdays mean 2 things- cake and fun (especially with me and kids in general). We celebrated big time this weekend with family and had a lot of fun! We started our weekend of fun eating dinner with Seth and Jess at Sumo Friday night, yumm!! Saturday I turned the big 3-0. I had the obligatory ice cream breakfast (longtime Andrews tradition!) and opened my gift from my boys!
C thought ice cream breakfast was strange, but sure didn't complain when I shared :) Derek and C got me a standing jewelry armoire for the closet! Derek is the best surprise gift giver, thanks hun! Colin was daddy's big helper putting it together :)
That morning my parents came in town for all the b-day parties. Have to give them a big shout out for birthing me 30 years ago...mom in particular ;) They are just the best. Period. They made me who I am today and I hope Colin and Connor are able to say that proudly about Derek and I one day! All these babies are blessed to have such fun grandparents too... you 2 better live a long time so they can have tons of memories with yall!
I'm not sure my parents age either...?
Chelsea made a risky move and had me pick up Mason's cookie cake. It smelt so good and was so tempting on the drive over! Mason's birthday was Friday and they had an adorable 'Monsters' theme birthday party for him. He's not a baby anymore! :(
Lots of outdoor play! Little C thought he was big stuff and explored everywhere!
Eli and his picture face :) The weather was perfect and all the kids had a blast!
BBQ and Chick fil a
Had to wake up Mason to sing Happy Birthday! He was so confused :)
The Andrews family! Mason wasn't sure about the icing
He got into it eventually. Mostly just played in it, ha
Eli taking a turn with the PiƱata!
Birthday presents!!
Kendall taking brother for a spin! Last baby left, until she turns 1 in 2 months!
Colin took a nap while we were there and woke up ready to go again. We came home and left him with mom and dad so we could go on a little dinner date. We went to Giuseppe's downtown. It had probably been 4 or more years since we've been there, it was one of our favorites in college. It was nice to get some alone time! We came back home to put Colin down and mom and I relaxed while the men smoked cigars outside. Had to keep soaking up the beautiful weather! It was a great birthday! Turning 30 wasn't bad, I see it as a success that I've made it alive another year ;) Plus, I haven't found a grey hair yet! I never set out many strict life goals when I was younger, however, I clearly remember wanting to be done having my babies by 30 (maybe since mom had her last one at 30??) and I can say that I accomplished that goal, haha.
Sunday we woke up and did a few house projects. Then it was time to head to the Shoemakes' for Eli's T-Rex party! He had his party a few days early and was super specific on the party details. I think he was very pleased and was so cute about his presents and cupcakes.
Per his request, we had pizza, red chips, and yellow T-Rex cupcakes :) He also requested 5 presents, although I don't think he noticed he got more than that...
Yum yum!!
My sweet family surprised me with an ice cream cake too :) I can't think of anything better than having 3 types of cake in 24 hours ;) I can say I'm definitely caked-out now! They also gifted me a spa trip and candles! Thanks guys!
This boy got a lot of fun big boy toys and enjoyed rough housing with dad!
Colin got reconnected with a best bud- Uncle Josh. He seriously gets so excited when he sees Josh now, its too funny!
Cousin playtime! Mason and Colin took some good naps while we ate and played! They were worn out from running around.
Colin laughed and laughed when he saw all the balloons! He always touches them at the Publix checkout, but never has had any to throw around. We had to take some home :)
Showing Aunt Caitlin his balloon, so joyfully!
Bubbles were also a huge hit with all the kids! I also love that Eli chose to wear his dino PJs the whole day. The matched his party perfectly!
It was a fun, busy weekend and I can't believe how fast these babes are growing up! They are so fun to watch and I can only imagine the parties in a few years with these wild ones!
