Oh this boy :)

Just like that, vacay is over :( It was an awesome week! Colin did SO good and we got a lot of good quality family time. We did about the same thing each day--go out to the beach around 9 and take a walk, let Colin nap in his stroller while we relaxed and read books, ate sandwiches on the beach for lunch, pool time, then nap for Colin in the condo. We got ready while he napped then it was dinner time! We got to eat at a few of our favorites and also tried a new place that was yummy! Colin ate so good and was a great dinner buddy. We always took an evening walk after dinner and played until Colin went to bed. Then adult time watching football, playing cards, and just catching up on life!

Due to D's work schedule, there are times he's gone 4 days and comes home in the middle of the night and we only see him for a few minutes before he goes back. Thank goodness he only works 13-14 shifts and has big breaks like this past week! We have a lot in common, a big one being we love everything about a beach vacation :) I'm lucky to have an adventurous best friend! Looks like CTP enjoys our travels too!

Colin was so intrigued by it all this trip. He is so active now so we took a lot of walks :) He loved getting in the ocean and pool of course. He didn't care for the sand to be on his hands, he kept trying to lick it off. He loved watching the birds and we chased them a good bit, hehe :)

Cruising on everything, even the wagon! He loved his go-pod and munching on goldfish like his Nana at the beach ;)

Had to take some beach pictures the last evening! Oh the joys of photographing and wild boy who wants to get down and play, yet hated to touch the sand :) Thanks to me being the craziest dancer ever, Colin basically just laughed hysterically at me the whole time he sat! Warning-picture overload!

Love this precious guy!!!

11 months?!

Goodness this past month has gone by fast! In 30 days we'll have a 1 year old!

This dude had a lot happen this month. He started school and loves it (when he gets to go!), he survived a week long respiratory virus, and defeated a stomach virus. Haha, Colin is definitely feeling the wrath of starting school. Better than when he's 5 though! He also went to the beach again!

He is __lbs now, wearing 12-18 month clothes, and size 4 diapers. He has 5 teeth and 1 about to pop out! He's slowly getting sick of his bottle and likes water and oj in his silly cup. He hasn't had baby food in over a month! He likes eating what we have and his favorites are yogurt, fruit breakfast bars,  mac n cheese, grilled cheese, daddy's cereals, and chicken nuggets.

He's still crawling and cruising all over and occasionally lets go to stand alone. He is starting to climb on things this month. He says momma, dadda, up, stop, bye bye. He waves bye, can high five, point with 1 finger, and signal touchdown. He still likes clapping for himself. He's becoming more silly and likes to smile and fake laugh at himself :)

He doesn't like to be left by us, but will be held by anyone and loves attention! I'm glad he's not a super shy baby. He is a good traveler and likes to eat out and watch people!

He's such a sweet thing and I love spending my days with my nugget! We are so blessed and thank God for our healthy baby!

See ya stomach virus, hello beach!

Well Colin shared his lovely germies with us :) Stomach conditions are probably the most common thing Derek and I see/treat at work, but totally different when it hits your house at the SAME time! We couldn't get out to get anything we needed! It hit Derek and I at 2am Monday am. It was a miserable morning (and Derek was at work).

Colin was a sweet boy and let me lay on the couch all day while Derek slept. Thankfully Donna came to help that evening and brought food. We got to sleep 12 hours and woke up feeling much better. After more resting yesterday we all feel almost 100% today! Poor Jess got it too and had to miss school :(

Survival Food ;) Thanks again Donna! Colin misses you already!

This morning we left for Gulf Shores! Derek had to work last night, so the boys slept in the back during the drive. The beach is our most favorite place ever. So wish we could move here!

Lambert's stop for lunch! Colin loved it and was even given a balloon-his favorite!

Dude ate good today, munched on crab legs for dinner at The Steamer!

My favorites!! CTP was way more interested this time in the sand and ocean! Already had a mouthful...

Big waves today! Colin is all about hi fives! Allll day long ;)

Our condo was the site of 87 sea turtles hatching! We walked up on the turtle workers digging out the eggs to make sure they all made it! It was so neat to see all the open eggs. There were 3 eggs still intact that didn't hatch. They opened one to show us the embryo, it was so neat!! They apparently hatch, crawl to the ocean, then swim 800+ miles straight to meet with other baby turtles where they stay together for 5-10 years. So interesting, they were so informative!

Must add this one, I can never get him on camera. He constantly gives flirty faces to himself in his car mirror. So cute. So happy he feels better! Mommy can fix most things, but not so much when she is sick too!

Happy Birthday Mom!! Hope you had a wonderful day and hate that we couldn't come spend it with you! You look younger each year but also make me feel older each year too! Time slow down :) So happy you were born just a short 54 years ago!!
