We're recovering from a nasty stomach bug this weekend. Thankfully the boys haven't gotten it yet! We had a fun week before we got sick though. Sweet little Connor deleted my Blog app on my phone and I haven't found a similar app yet, so blogging may be a little slow for a bit. I'm way overdue for an update on these 2 boys and all the funny things they say/do. I followed my grandma's advice and got a journal to document their funny selves.
This boy and time out...he hits, throws toys, screams...you name it! It's hard to remember this phase with Colin, but it's so hard not to laugh all day at him. Thankfully time out works well. His little pout/head down is just too much!
I got some sweet snuggles again this week with Meritt!!
McWayne Center fun! Colin seems to think this is a place you can go all the time :) When we ask him what he wants to do (on his non school days) he always says McWayne Center of McDonalds, haha.
Oh yes. We have reached to public meltdown phase...sweet thing screamed/kicked the whole way out.
Enjoying some rare beautiful February weather!
Time out has become so normal that he now takes his computer or trains with him :)
My target helpers!
Colin occasionally has to be reminded how crazy him mom is ;) At Starbucks in Target he had an epic meltdown. Screaming that I wasn't supposed to put his straw in his smoothie for him and " I told you never do that again" (laying on the floor). I thought he knew me better...that $5 smoothie went straight to the trash. Sometimes parenting isn't so fun, but he understood and apologized (unprompted) for talking that way to me. Lessons can be tough, and expensive...
We moved on quick and headed to gymnastics. They boys are getting so good and both have their front flips down!
Lunch at our favorite (Nori) after! Connor is obsessed with wearing our shoes everywhere!
Shaggy boy before
Stylist boy after! He looks so much older now!
After Colin's haircut we headed home and shortly after I started feeling sick. The stomach bug hit me hard Friday night and thank goodness Derek was home to keep the boys away from me. I figured it was food poisoning. After sleeping in I felt much better and seemed good enough to go to Graham's birthday party. We have been at all 3 of his birthdays so I was glad we could make it! The kids all had fun and were wiped out! Saturday afternoon Donna came over to keep the boys while Derek and I went to a BrewFest with Ross and Laura. I'm definitely not a beer drinker, but it was a fun event with good music and good to hang out. Sadly Saturday night the stomach bug hit Derek (so guess no food poisoning)...fingers crossed the boys stay healthy! We had to scratch our Super Bowl party tonight with my family and just lay low at home. Hoping for a healthier week!
