RIP cats, Chatty, and new front door

Last Friday Gizmo died from a dog attack. Derek was home and found him, the kids and I were already in Huntsville. We were (and are) so sad...he was definitely such a special cat, who was raised more like a dog, and we miss him. Unfortunately Gus hasn't come home so we assume he either got attacked too or ran off and hasn't/isn't coming back. We are still hoping he comes back, but isn't looking promising. They really were such great cats. I'm glad the kids weren't around when D found him, although it's been a blessing the kids haven't asked about them much. We spent the day at the Rocket Center with Marjorie and her kids/parents. The kids had a blast running around together and Colin liked sharing all of his space knowledge :) Saturday morning we left Belle with mom and dad and went to Chattanooga for the weekend. The kids now just go to Alli's room and disappear for house. They play so well together and it's always great catching up with Keshia. Thankfully the kids slept great in the same room this time!

One of our last evening walks with Gizmo! It had become our family routine at night and he loved joining us :)

Colin loved it all---except the space ride, haha. He wasn't too fond a few months ago and told me he didn't want to ride. But when Lettie and Graham went to get in line, he said he would try again. Poor guy...he still didn't like it, but he said he was being brave :)

Even though it was loud, Colin and Graham kept going back to watch the launch and feel the ground shake! Poor Connor slowed down towards the end...he skipped nap and did really great!

Belle Sparkle is some kind of special dog ;) Mom is a saint for keeping her for a week!!
Aquarium day with these cuties! Look at sweet Silas, finally with the big kids!

Walking to brunch Sunday! She loves taking care of her boys :)

Ring around the Rosy at Whole Foods...why not?!

This was my time stamp from 2 years ago! A month old baby Connor boy!

Karate boy! He got a little upset this week at drop off, which was a first. Otherwise he seems to really enjoy going!

Cute boys at school this week :)

Because I can't make a post without silly Connor pics....this boy had his upper body/head wrapped in his blanket for nap.

We ordered a new front door sometime in February. Ours was original to the house and was in pretty bad shape. We splurged and went for an iron double door. We've been anxiously awaiting its arrival, hoping we'd still love it! Today it was installed! Wow, we love it so much. It changes the whole look of the house up front. So much more light coming in to the foyer too!

Love it!

This cutie joined us for lunch today :)

Project night with daddy putting together wooden racecars!!

Boys first Barons game

Our pictures from the last week! We've enjoyed loads of family time and done a lot around the house! Hard to believe it's already mid-July! We're all pretty miserable in the heat unless we're at the pool. Even Belle isn't into playing much outside right now until the sun goes down. Thankfully the pool is our favorite spot these days and the kids are back in school this week doing fun things inside!

Derek has been off the last 5 days and we've been keeping busy with pool time!

Sweet Meritt loved splashing too!

This boy has loved taking pictures lately :)

So proud of the birdhouse they built!

If it's a M/W/F, you can find us at the pool in the morning after we work out! Colin has been taking Karate Monday mornings at the gym and loves it!

Colin thoroughly enjoyed helping me make brownies for Seth and Jess :) They got busy painting their project!

Meritt LOVED watching Colin dance around, she laughed so hard at him!

This ball/helmet/sunglass-loving boy ;)

Funny guys at the zoo for a splash pad morning!

Of course, we had to do the train (3 times). Connor is such a hand holder and I SO love that!

Belle is adjusting to our crazy family well and even has Gizmo joining our evening walks these days!

Another pool morning :) And lunch at our favorite place. The owner lets them feed "Nemo and Dori" and the lady brought them strawberries, per usual :)

Pregame fun at the Barons field playground

Excited boys for their first baseball game!

They clapped along with everyone and loved watching them pitch!

This boy loved taking selfies :)

They love Belle chasing them and pretending she's "getting" them, ha.

Our sitter sent this to me...this costume was way too big last Halloween! He's a growing boy!

Belle had her 9 week checkup today and everyone in the office commented on how cute and well behaved she was. I was a proud puppy-mommy, haha.
