Happy Birthday Doozie!

Today was Doozie's birthday. He's now 55 years young ;) They came down on Friday to celebrate with the fam. Derek had to work this weekend so it was great to be able to still celebrate with everyone! We're used to having to move holidays around with his schedule :)

 

 

We had PF Changs to go and did presents and cake at our place. Pound cake is the male Patterson choice every year. YUMM! Hope 55 treats you well Doozie!!

 

 

Colin got to play a little before bed, he enjoyed having family over.

 

 

 Derek had a crazy busy weekend and still works tomorrow. I hate he couldn't play this weekend with us. We kept busy with errands, dinner with Morgan, a play date with Mason, and dinner and pool with Seth and Jess. Can you tell we don't stay home at much in between naps? :) This kid is so over just playing with me, ha.

 

 

Chattanooga fun

Colin and I just got back from spending 3 days in Chattanooga! Derek had to work evening shift and it worked out better if we let him get some extra sleep :) Any chance to catch up with friends I take! We stayed with Keshia and had such a fun time! We got to pack so much into 3 days...lunch out, the pool, pedicures, shopping, and meeting up with cousin Kay for lunch. I would travel every week if this child would sleep better in his pack and play. Most nights he sleeps in it he wakes up 5-7 times screaming...I am so worn out today! It was worth seeing everyone though.

 

Alli loved to baby Colin, but did NOT want to share her toys...I understand girl ;) Poor Keshia was referee most of the time.

Karaoke night- those people were like American Idol good!!

 

Colin had fun swinging with Laura when she came to babysit the kiddos.

 

Cousin Kay drove from Knoxville just to eat lunch! So sweet!!

 

 

Our old sitter Zoe came to keep the kids during karaoke, Colin just loves her.

 

Already planning my next trip up there in September, we have more people to go see and catch up with! Thanks Keshia and Steve for hosting us!

Babies everywhere!!

We had a baby-filled weekend! Colin had a blast with baby visitors! Mason came for part of the day Saturday while Chelsea played in a Ultimate Frisbee tournament. Becca came with baby Jack to stay the weekend too! I hadn't seen Becca since last spring so it was great to catch up and meet her cutie. I can't believe we've been friends since 6th grade...that's something like 18 years ago! 

 

Oh my child. He just HAS to touch babies. This was just a few minutes after he sat on his face. On purpose! (No worries Noah and Chelsea, Mason just took it like a man and this only lasted a second before Colin was drug away;))

 

Soon, he was showing Mason how to use big boy toys :)

 

 Jack is a true swimmer...even out of water! He continuously scooted backwards and was too cute with those curls!

 

They were tough to get a picture of together! Both are so busy.

 

Today we went to watch Chelsea play (and win!) in the finals! She did great and I learned how Ultimate Frisbee works, too bad I can't throw a Frisbee!

 

This afternoon, Derek and I had a babysitter come and we went to the Ninja Turtle movie! It was one of Derek's favorites so hopefully Colin will share our childhood love for TMNTs :) Derek's out playing in his men's soccer league tonight! Excited I get to watch him play again, it's been 3 years!

 

Colin and I head to Chattanooga in the morning for a few days while Derek works! Always nice to have some girl/kid time with those Chatty ladies! Josh's test got pushed back to tomorrow, good luck Josh!!!

Wild thing

We sent Derek off to work this week. He had 4 orientation shifts this week and they went well. We missed him though! We always find plenty of things to keep us busy though. This guy is crawling all over the place now and chases me room to room. Baby gates go up this weekend! He is also cutting 4 upper teeth at once and is thinking life stinks half the day ;) I've had to rock him to sleep for naps, but it's kind of sweet. Hopefully these teeth come in soon! He's a little booger around other kids and likes to boss around the kids at the gym nursery...good thing he's cute and the workers like him! We have our work cut out for us for the next few years.

We've had a great last week of "summer break". Derek starts back work today after being home 2 months. We had such a good time this week together, we will definitely miss him! I haven't been good at taking pictures recently, but here are some of our week!
